Intersection (Geometry)

Geometric figures that intersect (cross each other).

In geometry, an intersection is a point or points at which two geometric figures coincide. Geometric figures coincide where they cross each other. In figure 1, the red points are the intersections. Conic sections are formed by intersecting a 2-dimensional plane with a 3-dimensional double cone.
